Final Stretch in Jakarta
It's almost 2:00 pm on Sunday in Jakarta and we're on the last stretch of the coding marathon for the Space Apps Challenge. There's been a few changes to the schedule so now instead of three minutes, participants who are confident enough about their solutions to present will get up to 15 minutes. When it was announced this morning, you could totally see everyone breathing a sigh of relief.

Half Time in San Francisco
Well, San Francisco may have been the last site to start their International Space Apps Challenge but the motivation still ran high as we kicked off the event with challenge presentations at 11:00 AM this morning. After a short welcome from our crew on board the International Space Station we had a few talks from the challenge leads and our organizer Willow and got started forming teams.
San Francisco Waypoint
It's warm in San Francisco. And it's beautiful outside. We're holed up on the top floor of San Francisco's TechShop, consuming more coffee and soda than is probably a wise idea. We've opened up the back stairway and the freight elevator shaft to catch a breeze, and the sound of vacuum formers and laser fans surrounds us. It's an amazing venue for an outstanding group of participants. They've broken out into a few teams, and people are bright-eyed -- either towards each other or towards their screens.
